Updated: Dec 29, 2019

During 2017-2019 seven forgotten graves of Soviet soldiers KIA in 1941 were excavated scientifically in order to get a name to the fallen.

The repatriation work was conducted with special consideration to ethic guidelines regarding the repatriation of war dead in the EU. All work was done in close co-operation with the Russian Embassy in Finland, Sotavainajien Muiston Vaalimisyhdistys ry, Hanko Museum and Hanko Front Museum.
